About This Peptide
PT-141 (also known as Bremelanotide) is a synthetic peptide analog of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (alpha-MSH).
Unlike traditional erectile dysfunction or arousal medications (such as PDE5 inhibitors like sildenafil or tadalafil) that work peripherally on blood vessels, PT-141 acts directly on the central nervous system to stimulate sexual desire and arousal in both men and women.

- Central Nervous System Arousal (MC3R / MC4R Agonism): PT-141 crosses the blood-brain barrier and binds as an agonist to melanocortin 3 (MC3R) and melanocortin 4 (MC4R) receptors in the hypothalamus. This triggers neural pathways that govern sexual motivation, desire, and autonomic arousal.
