Glutathione (GSH) is a powerful tripeptide composed of three amino acids: cysteine, glycine, and glutamic acid. Synthesized naturally in every cell of the body, with the highest concentrations located in the liver, it is widely known as the body’s “master antioxidant.”

- Master Antioxidant Protection: Glutathione neutralizes reactive oxygen species (ROS), free radicals, and heavy metals that cause oxidative stress. Unchecked oxidative stress damages cellular DNA, mitochondria, lipid membranes, and proteins.

- Skin Health & Pigmentation Modulation: Glutathione inhibits the enzyme tyrosinase, shifting melanin production from darker eumelanin to lighter pheomelanin. Because of this mechanism, high-dose intravenous or oral glutathione is frequently used to reduce hyperpigmentation and support skin tone clarity.
