About This Peptide
KPV (Lysine-Proline-Valine) is a synthetic tripeptide representing the C-terminal amino acid sequence of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (alpha-MSH). It retains the potent anti-inflammatory, mucosal protective, and antimicrobial properties of the full alpha-MSH hormone, but without stimulating pigment cells (melanocytes) or causing skin darkening.
