About This Peptide
Tesamorelin is a synthetic 44-amino acid peptide analog of endogenous Growth Hormone-Releasing Hormone (GHRH). It features a trans-3-hexenoic acid modification at its N-terminal end, which makes it substantially more resistant to enzymatic degradation (by dipeptidyl peptidase IV) than natural GHRH. By binding selectively to GHRH receptors on the anterior pituitary gland, Tesamorelin stimulates the body to synthesize and secrete its own natural Growth Hormone (GH) in a physiological, pulsatile fashion.
